At its very core, the Airport Management System employs a powerful, proven technology that allows data to be organized, maintained, and, most of all, easily accessed. Key data is retrieved or entered only once - and then it can be accessed by all integrated systems and authorized personnel, whether they're in the office or on the runway. Data can be retrieved through a variety of standardized and ad hoc reports and queries.
The Airport Management System was developed using the IBM U2 data base. IBM U2 is Open Data Base Computing (ODBC) compliant. In addition, the Airport Management System will run natively on the jBase data base. In fact, the Airport Management system will run on any ODBC compliant data base (including Microsoft SQL and Oracle) using jBase utilities.
